Perge: wood-oil combination boiler technology
Models and accessories
PERGE has always invested in innovative technologies, particularly in clean combustion techniques.
This pragmatic approach is based on a process of continuous progress, however minor, to improve everyday life for everyone. That's why PERGE GTEI wood-biofuel combination boilers are compatible with F30 biofuel.
They can continue to run on any domestic heating oil you may have in your tank. Then, if you decide to switch to F30 biofuel, they can run on the new biofuel without changing your burner.
Biofuel F30 is a new kind of energy. It is a biofuel composed of 70% domestic heating oil to which is added 30% renewable energy, in the form of rapeseed methyl ester (RME).
As a renewable energy source, RMC can significantly reduce CO2 emissions, below the 300 g/kWh threshold that will be the maximum permitted from July 1, 2022.
A wood-oil combination boiler can be installed for the first time, or at a later date, for example if the log-burning boiler is already in place. The GTEI combination boiler consists of a PERGE MC Classic wood-burning boiler and a PERGE Optitherm 24 C special GTEI oil boiler stacked on top of the wood-burning boiler. The PERGE Optitherm 24 C special GTEI oil boiler can therefore be installed on top of the log boiler at any time.A wood-oil combination boiler can be installed for the first time, or at a later date, for example if the log-burning boiler is already in place.
Thanks to the factory-supplied manifold and smoke thermostat, the boilers are connected in 1 single flue, with the 2 boilers not operating simultaneously.
In addition :
Thanks to the hydraulic connection kit supplied, the log burning boiler heats the water in the upper chamber of the oil boiler by thermosiphon, in all circumstances, without the use of electricity.
The log boiler works like a real log burner in the oil boiler. All the services previously provided by the oil boiler are provided in the same way by the log-burning boiler (hot water production, underfloor heating, radiators, etc.).
The heating system remains unchanged. No work is required inside the home. All modifications are carried out in the boiler room.

Supplied with hydraulic connection kit between the 2 boilers, manifold and smoke thermostat for operation in the same flue.

Installation without buffer tank.
There are 2 fuels at your disposal throughout the year. You can choose the cheapest.
There is no more oil in your tank ? There is no more wood left ? Not a problem ! You can use the fuel available at the moment.
The wood burning boiler is always prioritary. The oil boiler takes over automatically.
By choosing the twinning of 2 separate boilers instead of a monobloc unit :
- you can twin your existing boiler with the boiler of the other fuel (i.e. : You have an oil boiler. You want to make energy savings. You can twin it with the wood burning boiler) ;
- you can stagger your investment across the time ;
- you can optimize the efficiency of each device ;
- you can change the most used device without changing both.
And, at the end, it does not cost more and it does not take more space because the PERGE boilers can be installed without an accumulator tank.
Thanks to the twinning kit, the wood burning boiler and the oil boiler can be connected into the same chimney.
